Natural Products of Boonville is a locally owned business focused on producing high-quality gourmet mushrooms, mushroom extracts and, seasonally, some really special tomatoes, potatoes and other specialty crops. They are located in Boonville, California.
They collaborate with The Forest People to carry one another's mushrooms.This means you can more readily find all of their mushrooms at area farmers markets in Mendocino, Fort Bragg and Ukiah. Their passion, some might call it an obsession, is cultivating lion’s mane but they also grow shiitake and occasionally other mushroom species.

The Forest People, Matthew and Lama, are dedicated to radically sustainable mushroom cultivation. All organic practice and lots of love and care make their mushrooms beautiful, healthy and delicious.
They have a dedicated mushroom house where they are able to grow mushrooms year-round. With a background in regenerative farming technologies, they’ve custom built their operation with whole systems awareness. They never use harmful chemicals or pesticides and only use organic practices. They are ‘Certified Renegade’ through the Mendocino Organic Network. |

Mushroom Arts, Crafts & Utilitarian Wares
Alison Gardner, one of MCMC's founders, offers an assortment of mushroom teas and The Wild Mushroom Cookbook to help you figure out what to make with all your mushroom finds.
In addition to her mushroom wares, she also makes beautifully functional pottery. You can order both the teas and the cookbook directly from her or you can find them for sale at The Artist's Collective in Elk.

Craig Hathaway has an exquisite mushroom table hewn from an old redwood burl on exhibit and for sale at The Artist's Collective in Elk. You can see other examples of his woodworking craftsmanship on his website.

In addition, he makes tooled leather goods, collage and fine art, jewelry, patches, t-shirts and more. Each item is hand-made in an eco-friendly way. Billy designed the patch for MCMC, which we provide to all MCMC club members. |
Dynamic husband and wife duo, Jacquelyn & Christopher Cisper make various forms of art in Fort Bragg.
You can find their creations at galleries around town, on their Facebook pages and at their in-home studio (now on the front porch, due to Covid-19) at 250 N Harrison in Fort Bragg. |
Chris makes fine pottery and music. Jacquelyn creates up cycled fashions, some delectable confections and fine arts and also works in collaboration with Chris to decorate some of his pottery. They are also amazing gardeners and offer produce and plants for trade or donation from their front porch farm stand.

Jon Klein lives near Fort Bragg on the northern California coast, and in his photography he is mainly trying to get beautiful images of local wildlife, landscapes, and seascapes.

Anna has spent the last 10 years honing her craft and wants to share the wonder of the fungal kingdom with you through her delightful photographs. Mendo Parks and the Ford House Visitor Center and Museum have been the gracious hosts of the Mendocino Coast Mushroom Club's monthly meetings for the past several years, until the Covid-19 pandemic forced us online. They also partnered with the Club to bring educational events like the Mushrooms for Color exhibit and dye demonstration, Mushroom Identification for Beginners, and Medicinal Properties of Mushrooms to the public.
The Ford House Museum and Visitor Center is both a historical Museum Circa 1854 as well as the official visitor center for the village of Mendocino, featuring permanent displays of local history as well as seasonal displays to highlight the area's natural beauty and bounty, including a display of mushrooms in the fall/winter months.
The Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens is home to more than 160 species of mushroom and offers guided walks, Identification workshops and maintains signage to help visitors find the mushrooms throughout the gardens.

Not just fun but educational as well, Mendo Insider Tours’ mushroom exploration tours will enable you to learn basic taxonomic identifying features so you can distinguish the type of mushroom you’re looking at.
