The Mendocino Coast Mushroom Club welcomes the return of chef Chad Hyatt to the Caspar Community Center for the 3rd Annual Wild Mushroom Dinner on Saturday, November 10.
Chef Hyatt will be transforming our local mushroom bounty into a feast for the senses. A no-host, cash only bar, featuring local wines and beers will be available starting at 5:00PM. Dinner will be served at 6:00, with a selection of entrees and desserts. Ovo-lacto vegetarian options are available. Come early to select your table, socialize, and shop for local-made items in our mushroom-themed marketplace. Chef Hyatt will be selling his new cookbook, The Mushroom Hunter’s Kitchen, at the event in the marketplace.
Each guest will receive a collectible brochure designed by Zida Borcich, Studio Z Mendocino, featuring all the recipes from the dinner. The brochure will be illustrated with the exquisite botanical watercolors of Russian artist, Alexander Viazmensky. Some of his artwork will be available for sale in the marketplace. The dinner is a fundraiser for the Mendocino Coast Mushroom Club and is an all volunteer–run event. All proceeds will be used to fund future club events that promote awareness of the many ways in which mushrooms enhance our lives. Tickets are $55 per person, not including wine or beer. Tickets are only available on-line through Brown Paper Tickets in advance — no tickets at the door. Seating is limited to 100 diners, so don’t delay as this dinner is sure to sell out. No tickets will be available at the door. The planned menu* for the evening an be found here.
